Hello. My name is Jenny Drai. I move around a lot so perhaps we’ve met. I’m a poet and fiction writer formerly of the San Francisco Bay Area but currently located in Oxnard, California. My work has appeared or is forthcoming in American Letters and Commentary, Court Green, Parthenon West Review, Jellyfish, Spork, La Petite Zine, and H_ngm_n, among other journals, as well as in the Calaveras chapbook series and in phrases / fragments: an anthology (Sustenance Press). I have been a finalist in the Subito Press Book Award (Poetry and Prose), the Sawtooth Prize from Ahsahta Press, and the Open Book Competition at Omnidawn Press. My own chapbook, The New Sorrow is Less than the Old Sorrow, a finalist in the Black River Chapbook Competition, is forthcoming from Black Lawrence Press.
